The property is located on a nice beach with a large lagoon in front, and a rideable surf spot (around high tide) about 200 yards directly in front that has fun waves for intermediate to advanced surfers as long as the swell is on the small side and the wind is north. They also loan out kayaks and do scuba at the activities center. Only bummer is you can only use them and can only snorkel during high tide as it gets too shallow in the lagoon at low tide, so you have to time it around the tides. I found the tide info posted at the activity center was off by a couple of hours every day for sure. The hotel staff were fantastic and, as is typical of Fiji, very warm and welcoming, and I particularly loved their MC for the nightly Happy Hour Fun Games and they had fun entertainment nightly in the restaurant and a wonderfully talented local band playing background tunes while you ate. We happened to be there at the beginning of the Covid-19 outbreak, so the hotel wasn't even half full. The facilities were fairly decent, though outdated.
